The academy is a progressive series of inclusive exercise classes designed to meet people at their current level and help them move forward with confidence.
You do not need to be fit or experienced to join. Every session can be adapted, helping you take part safely and experience genuine progress.
Support the muscles needed for everyday movement, posture and independence.
Practise controlled, appropriate movements that support stability and confidence.
Rebuild trust in your body in a welcoming environment without pressure or judgement.
Encourage mobility and help make day-to-day activities feel more manageable.
Support the ability to remain active and involved in everyday life for longer.
Friendly sessions with fun elements, shared encouragement and achievements worth celebrating.
When residents lose strength and mobility, they can require increasing levels of support with everyday activities. Stronger Every Year helps care homes take a proactive approach to movement, confidence, independence and participation.
“Exercise should feel like something residents want to join—not another task they are expected to complete.”
Sessions combine purposeful movement with encouragement, music, interaction and fun. Every person is supported to participate at a suitable level and every achievement is recognised.
These three principles shape every Stronger Every Year session.
Create a welcoming environment where people feel safe to try, participate and keep returning.
Build on each person’s current ability through appropriate, progressive movement.
Recognise progress, confidence and commitment—not only the final outcome.
Growing older should not mean giving up on strength, confidence or possibility.
Alex is the owner and founder of Stronger Every Year and holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Therapy.
He combines professional knowledge with an inclusive, person-centred approach, making appropriate exercise accessible to people of all abilities—particularly those at risk of losing strength, confidence or independence.
Alex believes that progress should be encouraged, recognised and celebrated, however small the first step may appear.
To provide care homes and individuals who are at risk of trips and falls with an inclusive academy that positively impacts their day-to-day lives, strength, movement and confidence—helping them grow stronger every year.
By 2036, Stronger Every Year will be a recognised voice for people across the UK who are at risk of falls, influencing national conversations, care standards and the future development of falls-prevention services.
